This recipe has two plus points, one is that it doesn’t need cooking, another is that it’s really kid centric, from getting hands in and mixing to the fact that they’re probably the only ones that are want to eat them!
You can also put in what’s at hand, this is a much simpler recipe than the one I adapted it from which included flaxseed and chocolate chips, and used old-fashioned oats.
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup golden syrup or honey
3 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1 cup mixed raisins and sultanas
Mix together the peanut butter and golden syrup.
Gradually add oats.
Add sesame seeds and dried fruit.
Roll into balls.
They can be frozen.
